Everything in Africa bites, but the safari bug is the worst of all" - Brian Jackman

Northern Kenya is a fantastic holiday and travel destination to see a wide array of wildlife species, scenic savannah grasslands, tropical forests and the only true desert in East Africa. Samburu National Reserve, Buffalo Springs National Reserve, Marsabit National Park and Sibiloi National Parks offer unforgettable safari experiences for visitors. Together with a strand of many community conservancies and private game ranches, this landscape boasts the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo) as well as the Special 5 or the Northern 5 - reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, the gerenuk, Beisa oryx and the Somali ostritch.

Marsabit National Park

A remote montane paradise located in Kenya’s rugged northern frontier, Marsabit National Park envelops the massive extinct volcano known as Mount Marsabit. Though born of volcanic fire, Mt Marsabit is a cool, green and forested realm, often swathed in mist. Rising like a mirage above the surrounding burning desert, Mount Marsabit is famous for the dreamy blue waters of Lake Paradise which lies at its peak.

Samburu, Buffalo Springs & Shaba National Reserves

Samburu National Reserve is situated at the southeastern corner of Samburu District in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya. It is bordered to the south by Ewaso Nyiro River, which separates it from the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. The reserves are rich in a wide array of wildlife species including the special 5: the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx.

Sibiloi National Park

Located on the wild and rugged shores of Lake Turkana – the cradle of mankind - Sibiloi is home to important archaeological sites including Koobi Fora where the fossil remains have contributed more to the understanding of human evolution than any other site in the continent. Terrestrial wildlife species include zebras, Grant gazelles, lions, leopards, stripped hyenas, Beisa Oryx, greater kudu, cheetahs and northern topi among others.
